Our Gloucester style single garden gate consist of a feature head with open spindles, is set within a deep wooden frame and is constructed using solid vertical tongue and groove boards, adding strength and durability.
As with all our gates there is fine attention to detail used through construction and we operate a strict quality control across everything we manufacture to guarantee a high quality finish.
Choose from two available materials – Swedish redwood or kilned dried Iroko. In addition when ordering you will have a choice between raised stiles and no stiles, this is down to personal preference. And left or right hand hang (as you look at the front of the gate which side will the hinges be on).
All our tongue and groove garden gates come untreated as standard. However, we do offer a splash and dash treatment as an optional extra. This treatment process consists of the gate being completely submerged in preservative within our on-site treatment plant facilities and then is allowed to dry, leaving the surface of the timber coated in preservative. Choose between green or brown preservative. Click here to add treatment to your order.
Ironwork and posts can be added as an optional extra.
Bespoke:
Our above standard gate sizes are a guideline for price, however all our tongue and groove garden gates are manufactured to fit your bespoke requirements. To calculate a price for intermediate sizes, please price using the next size up e.g. for a 2’7″ use 3’0″ price. To order a bespoke gate please get in touch with us and we can process the order for you.
To measure for your bespoke gate, follow the 2 simple steps below.
- We recommend installing your gate posts before taking your measurements for bespoke gates. Once your gate posts are installed take three measurements from between the posts – top, middle & bottom.
- Reduce the smallest measurement by 30mm for driveway gate, or 15mm for single gates. This is the measurement of the width of the gate required, providing a neat fit while allowing for natural swelling that is a feature of timber gates.
