Established over 40 years ago, here at Hales we are a family owned business now into its third generation based in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Since opening in 1982 we haven’t stood still, we moved to a new purpose-built site in Market Drayton in 2015 following a £8 million investment and this year we are due to open our second branch in Shrewsbury.
During this time we have grown a strong reputation as one of Shropshire’s largest DIY, Garden & Timber specialists. As well as supplying one of the widest ranges of wooden acoustic panels in the UK.
We have two branches across the Shropshire area which both offer high quality and sustainably sourced timber and garden supplies to trade and DIY customers.
With a combined fleet of nine lorries, we can provide direct delivery to your door or project site, or provide click and collect from each branch.
Stocking thousands of products – including fencing, gates, paving, aggregates, pergolas, sleepers, sawn timber, C16 timber, ironmongery, decorating products, hand tools and mowers – We aim to become the first port of call for all landscapers, contractors and home DIY-ers.

We supply one of the widest ranges of wooden acoustic panels in the UK. These panels not only look great but provide the very best solution to tackle excessive and unwanted noise across many applications, ranging from residential, education and transport to commercial and industrial.
Our Acoustic fencing works by creating an adequate barrier to disturb and repel any unwanted sound. This can have an extreme effect, noticeably reducing noise levels and minimising any previous disruption.
Historically, here at Hales, we were solely a sawmill who milled full round timber logs for wholesale. However, when we rebranded in 2015 we decided to focus our attention on specialising in the manufacturing of fence panels & timber gates for both wholesale and custom orders. As well as offering a dedicated planning and cutting service.
This has allowed us to operate a strict quality control across everything we manufacture and ensure fine attention to detail is used by all our expert joiners to guarantee a high quality finish.
